Balmain & District Football Club Coach Education
To provide our BDFC coaches with the tools to deliver the best possible learning environment for our players and enhance our clubs coaching culture, our club Technical Director Radim Mokrohajsky (UEFA A Licence) will be hosting several coach education events during the winter season and we all BDFC Coaches to get involved and learn from key topics covered as suggested by our members. These events are broken down into online webinars and on-field practical sessions.
We are also working with Football Canterbury and Football NSW to deliver Football Australia Accredited coaching courses in our area for our members to attain appropriate coaching qualifications in line with the Football Canterbury guidelines such as the MiniRoos Certificate and Foundation of Football Course.

MiniRoos Certificate
- Saturday 13 April – 11am-12:30pm
- Tuesday 30 April – 7pm-8:30pm
Courses are delivered at Waterfront Sporting Ground, Lilyfield by Football NSW.
This is a fully accredited course run by Football NSW and the certification is valid for 5 years. It is aimed at volunteer parents and coaches working with novice players and/or players aged approximately up to ten (10) years old. The session is entirely practical and encourages the coach to create games based on enjoyment, with the focus on learning by playing football. The secret to encouraging players to develop a love for the game without coaching is to organise enjoyable football activities.
The coaches’ exposure is to fundamental game rules and guidance on creating an enjoyable and safe football environment.
To register for the MiniRoos Certificate, you will need a PlayFootball account. The process can be a little tricky, so we’ve developed a step-by-step guide to set you up and get you access to the brand new Football Australia Learning Centre.
